ARE THEY MADE LOCALLY?

Yes! We make them ourselves in Melbourne using local suppliers

PERMITS - DO I NEED A PERMIT?

No permit required - Classified as a Class 10a building (minimal council requirements apply). The Pod is on a pallet style base and can be moved if required.

IS THE OUTSIDE CLADDING OR TIMBER?

The external material is a Weathertex external cladding material, Cladding is painted with Dulux exterior grade paint.

ANY MAINTENANCE?

The pod will need minimal maintenance over the years. Repainting etc.

WHERE COULD I SEE A SAMPLE?

At present we do not have a sample available for viewing.

DO THEY COME ALREADY ASSEMBLED OR DO YOU PUT IT TOGETHER ONSITE?

We can complete either way.


If you have a difficult access site it may be best to build on site.

If you have a easy access site it can be delivered via a folk lift into place. 

ARE THE MATERIALS LOW VOC?

The vast majority of the products used are low VOC. A small amount external adhesives is would probably not be considered low VOC but is necessary to ensure sound construction. Where possible nail and screw fixings are utilised.

CAN THE DOOR LOCATION BE ADJUSTED FOR MY SITE?

Yes. The door can be to the left or right of the pod.

HOW DO I POWER THE POD?

The pod has a secure cable duct which allows for an extension lead to be run to the pod for internal power supply. You could also arrange an electrician to run a permanent power supply to the pod.

CAN I INSTALL SHELVES OR OTHER INTERNAL FIXTURES?

Yes, the internal ply is solid, and there are no internal electrics so it is safe to customise the internal of the pod however you would like.

DOES THE POD REQUIRE HEATING OR COOLING?

The pod is extremely well insulated and in most conditions will not need additional heating or cooling. On the extreme days you could choose to run a small heater or portable cooler. As the pod is such a small space it does not take much to achieve the desired temperature.

WHAT GROUND PREPARATION IS REQUIRED?

The pod is self supporting and can be easily placed in many locations. The pod is leveled as part of the installation process. If you are on an extremely sloped site, or have a very soft surface then some site preparation made be required. If you are unsure about your site please get in touch and we can find a solution.

HOW LONG DOES THE POD TAKE TO CONSTRUCT?

If your pod is being built on site this will take 1 to 2 days. Occasional we will need adjust the the installation timing if there is extreme weather.
